Hanna-Riikka's questions for me:- Do you have any addictions?
Hmm, I'm sure I do, but at the moment the exact things don't come to mind. Collecting books, art supplies, and photo equipment even though I'm not particularly devout to any of them.
2. Look over your right shoulder, what do you see?
A tablet.
3. Have any of your childhood toys survived to this day?
I don't think so. I've never been keen on sentimental attachment to physical things, so I actually don't think I've kept anything. Besides, the house I grew up in was burned down, so I imagine all my childhood things were turned to ash. I do, however, have a piece of jewelry that I've kept since that time and only recently started wearing again (after several years of not). This is a great question, btw.
4. What kind of clock do you have on your wall/table/shelf?
None. I find the ticking of gear clocks and the hum of electric ones annoying. So I avoid putting one in my room.
5. What is your favourite comic character? If you don't read comics say your favourite movie character.
Again, the pressure of the question leaves my mind blank XD! Hmm, I don't know. It's tough to say. Whenever I watch shows or movies and really like the lines or characters, I tend to want to admire the person behind it and rather than the character, I wonder whether what I like is the actor's interpretation or if the delivery was more dictated by the writer's specifications. Ah, I'll mention instead, a recent favorite character. I was made to watch Flower Boy Ramyun Shop (granted, a show not a movie), and the Kim Ba Wool character/actor was constantly cracking me up.
6. Your favourite song at the moment is..?
This week it's been Dear Fellow Traveler by Sea Wolf.
7. Do you do sports?
I don't, which is a sad thing. I will occasionally try certain sports, though. But I've never been very athletic.
8. Last time you went to the shop what did you buy?
Half-and-half (dairy product that is part cream, part milk), a packet of instant yeast, a carton of eggs, baking powder.
9. You're going to build a house. What is your dream house like?
Oh my goodness, I have so many mental annotations of what I want for my dream house! One of the major keys to my dream place is light. A lot of glass, especially in the kitchen, to allow natural light to pore in from all directions. Definitely a reading nook stashed away in a corner, where a child or young adult can go hide even in a busy house. Overall, I mostly think about all the particular elements that will make the house a home rather than what it will look like. The particularities that will make it warm, inviting, and a place of sanctuary. Oftentimes I imagine it'll be somewhere secluded (or maybe I'll just have a lot of land!). Sometimes I imagine it small, other times I want it to be big enough to have plenty of hiding spaces. I wonder if anyone else thinks about what kind of trees and plants they would like in their garden and the layout.
10. If you could take only one book to the abandoned island which book would you choose?
It would probably be one of Gerald Durrell's books. His accounts are funny, marveling, and adventurous. They're made of shorts, so I would never get tired of one particular story. Whichever the book, I know the zany stories and characters within would keep me company while also stimulating and fueling my sense of adventure and curiosity in exploring the island (since that's one of his common themes ).

My questions (I really liked some of Hanna-Riikka's questions, so I'm going to repeat those in mine):
- Does it feel like 2014 to you yet; have you made any plans or goals for this year?
- Do you have a favorite photo of 2013? If possible, please show or describe the moment it was taken from.
- What food/dish have you been hankering for lately?
- Any trips planned for this year, or hoping for?
- What's your favorite comfort food?
- Do you have a favorite time of day?
- Any books or reading material on your night stand or area next to your bed?
- Have you kept anything from your childhood?
- What do you like to do right before bed?
- Have you ever thought of how your dream house would look like?
